Foundation Partnerships

Canadian foundations (private, public and charitable) are a diverse group of funders that contribute close to 6 billion dollars to qualified donees annually. While foundations provide funding and support for other charitable organizations through grants, they may also engage directly in charitable activities.

Werklund Centre gratefully acknowledges the generous financial investment by the following organizations:

They facilitate collaborative philanthropy by making powerful connections between donors and community organizations for the long-term benefit of Calgary and area. Werklund Centre's ConocoPhillips Hub for Inspired Learning is supported by the Calgary Foundation through two donor-directed funds: the Calgary International Children’s Festival Fund was established to support children’s programs; and the Noreen Baker Fund was established to contribute to the well-being and vitality of Calgary and area.

Professional development is key to helping presenters improve their audience outreach efforts, build capacity, and manage change. To best support those efforts, CAPACOA provides funding through the Presenters Capacity Building Program (PCBP), a funding program that provides the presenting community with access to better professional development tools. CAPACOA supports Werklund Centre's Cultural Mediation Project.
