For more than 40 years, Werklund Centre (formerly Arts Commons) has been a cornerstone of Calgary’s cultural life — a place where artists, audiences, and communities come together to be inspired, challenged, and connected through the power of art.

As a not-for-profit organization and federally registered charity, Werklund Centre relies on the generosity of our community to make this work possible. Ticket sales, venue rentals, and other income cover only about two-thirds of our annual $16 million operating budget — leaving a $5.5 million fundraising gap each year.
