Jonathan Love

Jonathan Love is Vice President, Programming at Werklund Centre, where he leads the teams responsible for artistic creation, education, presentation and participation. A lifelong Calgarian, he has built a diverse career spanning cultural leadership, arts education, performance and media.

Before joining Werklund Centre, Jonathan served as Chief Executive Officer of the Alberta Jubilee Auditoria Society, overseeing front- and back-of-house operations, marketing and community engagement at the Northern and Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditoria. Throughout his career, he has focused on developing memorable live experiences, championing artists, engaging audiences and creating opportunities for people to participate wholeheartedly in the arts.

Jonathan has emceed events locally and nationally, delivered keynote addresses and appeared regularly in the media. He has worked as a producer and theatre reviewer for CBC and other outlets, and has taught public speaking at Mount Royal University and to business executives across Canada and as far away as Qatar.

Equally at home onstage or in the recording booth, Jonathan has voiced numerous cartoons, commercials and video games including Obi-Wan Kenobi for LucasArts, and has enjoyed performing on every stage at Werklund Centre. He is also a founding member of Calgary’s award-winning musical-comedy a cappella group, The Heebee-jeebees.
