ASSISTIVE LISTENING

Werklund Centre is proud to announce the launch of our new Sennheiser MobileConnect+ Assistive Listening System. The Sennheiser MobileConnect+ Assistive Listening System works over Wi-Fi with any Bluetooth enabled device, providing crisp, high-quality listening support to every venue in our building.

Our current Assistive Listening Device (ALD) system will continue to be available in the Big Secret Theatre, Engineered Air Theatre, Martha Cohen Theatre, and Max Bell Theatre as we transition to the Sennheiser MobileConnect+ system.

Please contact our box office for further information on our Assistive Listening System prior to purchasing your ticket. Once you arrive at Werklund Centre, visit the Coat Check to be set you up with our most current system or a courtesy device.

AIR FILTRATION

Werklund Centre has implemented an Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) solution in the building, and our MERV-15A air filters make sure air leaves our building cleaner than it came in!

PARKING & DROP-OFFS

Our parkade has designated accessibility parking spaces available, but the parkade fills up quickly, so we recommend coming early. If our parkade does not have an accessible stall available, additional parking is available at the City Hall parkade, which has a much larger capacity of accessible parking stalls per level and is accessible via the +15 walkways.

For more details of parking in the area, call 403-537-7000 or go to Calgary Parking.

Drop-offs can be made on 8th Avenue in front of the Jack Singer Concert Hall with ramp access into the interior of the building. In the instance that 8th Avenue is closed, drop-offs can be made in the pull-out outside of the Max Bell Theatre which is accessed from 9th Avenue.

WASHROOMS

Accessible washrooms are available throughout the building; Werklund Centre staff will be happy to direct you to the closest location.

Gender-neutral washrooms are available in the lobbies of the Jack Singer Concert Hall and Engineered Air Theatre in Arts Commons. If you are attending an event in the Martha Cohen, Max Bell, Motel, or Big Secret Theatres, please speak to a Front of House staff member to be directed to the nearest gender-neutral washroom.

REACH OUT TO US

If you have any special needs, please reach out to our box office when you purchase your tickets so that we can best accommodate you. Once you arrive at your venue, proceed to coat check to speak with a member of our Front of House staff. They will be more than happy to assist you in any way that they can.

At Werklund Centre, we are committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (I.D.E.A). We work to remove barriers in collaboration with a broad range of voices. We are committed to making the arts accessible to everyone, regardless of race, religious beliefs, colour, gender, physical or mental disability, ancestry, age, place of origin, marital status, source of income, family status, sexual orientation. We live our values of being open with our hearts, our minds, and our arms.
