Brooklyn is a PhD candidate in linguistics who has played various roles in developing interdisciplinary research projects at the intersection of linguistics and artificial intelligence, ethics, public health, English literature, and student accessibility.
Brooklyn has been an avid supporter of Downstage for over a decade. Having been a long-time attendee of their shows and through her commitment to Downstage’s mission of creating theatre that sparks important conversations, she eventually joined the board in 2023.
As a researcher and instructor in linguistics at the University of Calgary, Brooklyn is always eager to learn, approaches her work with a critical eye, and is passionate about sharing her love of the arts.
