Artist Biography
Tyler Wong is a multidisciplinary artist based in Calgary, AB, whose work explores the flow of energy through expressive mark-making. Drawing from Asian calligraphy, graffiti, comics, and music, he creates a hybrid visual language that bridges tradition with contemporary subculture. His bold black-and-white compositions range from abstract gestures to character-driven vignettes, often balancing minimalism with dynamic intensity. As both a Creative and Art Director, Tyler’s practice spans murals, installations, apparel, and digital media—often in collaboration with artists across disciplines. His work blurs the line between control and spontaneity, aiming to capture moments of movement, texture ,and scale. Whether brushed, sprayed, or projected, each piece offers a visual rhythm that’s immediate, immersive, and alive.
