Artist Biography

Maedeh Mosaverzadeh is an Iranian visual storyteller based in Calgary, Canada. Holding a Master of Fine Arts in Drawing from the University of Calgary, she explores the intersections of life, people, and nature through illustration and animation. Maedeh moved to Calgary/Mohkinstsis to pursue her MFA and has since embraced the city as her home, where her artistic journey continues to evolve.

Maedeh's work is deeply connected to nature and reflects a profound commitment to environmental advocacy, addressing urgent issues such as plastic pollution, climate change, and environmental sustainability. Through illustration and animation, she weaves narratives that not only evoke a sense of urgency but also encourage viewers to envision a world in which positive change is possible. Each piece invites a thoughtful reflection on the pressing ecological concerns that define our time.
