Get an insider's view when an artistic director takes audiences inside the world of public arts funding using a real grant application for a new clown show as her teaching tool. What starts as a straightforward lesson in funding success quickly begins to unravel.
As the application comes under scrutiny, the workshop turns into a fever dream of plays within grants within plays. The rules keep changing, the stakes keep rising and the line between making art and proving that your art deserves to exist starts to disappear.
