SINNER. The Homecoming Show
SINNER. The Homecoming Show
One Night Only : November 29, 2026
After critically acclaimed performances at the 2026 Toronto and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals, Calgary singer-songwriter, comedian and could-be pastor, Marla Torgerson brings her smart, one-woman musical tragicomedy SINNER. home for one unforgettable night.
Think, if Fleabag went to Bible College.
Raised in the Fundamentalist Evangelical Church in the Bible Belt of Central Alberta, Torgerson takes audiences on a wildly funny, fiercely honest, and unexpectedly moving journey through purity culture, religious conditioning, shame, faith, and what it costs to choose to cultivate inner peace over maintaining the outer one.
Blending powerhouse vocals, razor-sharp wit, and multi-genre original songs, SINNER. was praised as “one of the strongest new musicals seen at the festival in many years” by The Hammer Monthly, and given rave reviews by audience members and critics alike, including being awarded four stars by Everything Theatre at the Edinburgh Fringe. SINNER. has been winning hearts and provoking laughter from Calgary across the Atlantic.
