One Yellow Rabbit Presents
I Saw Satan at the 7-Eleven
Written and Performed by Christopher Brett Bailey
As part of the 2027 High Performance Rodeo
What happens when you spot Satan buying soy milk at 7-Eleven?
Two miles north of Hell, a nameless deadbeat narrator comes face to face with the Devil himself. Except Satan isn't quite what he expected. He's washed up, out of touch and apparently more interested in soy milk than eternal damnation.
Then they fall in love. What follows is a deeply strange road trip through desire, bad decisions and the underworld. Along the way, things get violent, ridiculous, dreamlike and unexpectedly sweet.
A screwball monologue with the reckless spirit of Fear and Loathing and the dark humour of South Park, this is a love story about two unlikely souls who find each other in a place where absolutely nothing should make sense.
CREDITS
Written and Performed by Christopher Brett Bailey
