Festival of Animated Objects


The Festival of Animated Objects is a celebration of mask & puppet related performance taking place in March since 2002. In the window three characters are busy preparing their puppets for the infamous Dolly Wiggler Cabaret, a ribald night of short puppet shows for adults, lifting off March 20 & 21. Be sure to adventure upstairs to the +15 Galleries in Werklund Centre to dive into the world of Tiny Wonders: A Wunderbriefs Retrospective.The Festival of Animated Objects hosts local and international puppet and mask performances, screenings, and talks, all while supporting the local puppetry community year-round. Thank you to artist Jen Bain for this playful display of puppets making puppets. This winter, FAO is trying something new!
