As two mixed Black women raised in Calgary, our experiences are both shared and deeply contrasting. Moving between cultures, families, and expectations, we navigate questions of belonging, visibility, identity, and self-definition and often in ways that don’t fully align. What does it mean to be mixed? Who gets to claim space? How do our upbringings shape the way we understand race, privilege, and ourselves?
This is not just something to watch. It’s a gathering space, where audiences are invited to listen, reflect, and, at times, join the dialogue.
