Saving Nature's Symphony with Ben Mirin

Written by Werklund Centre | Apr 8, 2026 5:43:54 PM

The world is alive with sound, and acoustic biologist, artist, storyteller, and National Geographic Explorer Dr. Ben Mirin makes sure we never miss a beat. He has travelled the world capturing everything from the sweet songs of morning birds to the chatter of howling lemurs and even the conversation of whales. Through science, music and media, he combines his passions to engage new audiences in a more inclusive and sustainable future for all life on earth.

Join Werklund Centre as we go on assignment for an auditory adventure, tuning in to wildlife symphonies, discovering what those voices tell us about our planet, and transforming that science into music.
